Rooted Resilience is a monthly reading club featuring books by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color authors. I created Instagram carousels and discussion slides tailored to each book’s themes—from food culture to ecological storytelling and community economies—supporting readers with visually engaging and educational content.
Each month's design pulled visual cues from the book’s core message. For High on the Hog, I used rich food tones and layered textures. The Mushroom at the End of the World brought earthy, mycological imagery, while The Serviceberry was guided by gifting motifs and soft natural palettes. Cohesive typography and layout tied them together across changing themes.
